Dr. Bryce Daines brings a range of experience from Tute Genomics, where he served as Vice President of Product. He obtained a B.S. in Bioinformatics from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine where he trained at the Human Genome Sequencing Center. Dr. Daines has extensive experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data from whole-genome, exome, and transcriptome profiling experiments in humans, crop species and model organisms. His research interests focus on complex data analysis and developing bioinformatics pipelines for diverse technology platforms including Illumina and Ion Torrent sequencers. He frequently collaborates in the development of novel library construction protocols and specification of quality control metrics for production-scale sequencing applications.
