Megan Schmidt enjoys making an impact on healthcare through innovation and technology. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC. and has lab bench experience in bacteriology and virology research for novel therapeutics. She transitioned from bench work to industry by supporting applications of molecular agents and instrumentation at PerkinElmer, where she also began her career in product management. Staying close to her molecular roots, she managed reagent products at Carestream Health’s Molecular Imaging Division. At Sunquest Information Systems, Megan held several positions in software product management including Director of Product Strategy for the suite of Sunquest solutions, and finally as Director of Molecular and Genetic Solutions. Most recently, Megan was Vice President of Product Management at CompuGroup Medical’s Laboratory Division. Megan brings experience in product management, software development, and molecular biology to bear on her role leading Product Management at PierianDx.
